There is a special agenda for the Village Council meeting this Thursday night, Chairman Michelle Niemeyer has invited the candidates running for the County District Commision seat.
"Given the short time available before the emergency election to replace Carlos Gimenez in our County Commission seat, I invited Carlos Gimenez for us to thank him for all he has done for the Grove and for the Council, as well as the candidates for his County Commission seat to introduce themselves to Coconut Grove’s residents, tell us a bit about who they are and why they are running, and to take questions from Coconut Grove residents," says Michelle.
Former Commissioner Gimenez (now running for County Mayor) and both County Commission candidates, Xavier Suarez (former City of Miami Mayor) and Julio Robaina (former Vice Mayor of South Miami) have confirmed that they will attend.
The meeting is April 21 from 7 to 9 pm at the Sailing Club (2990 South Bayshore Drive). Everyone is welcome.
