New food festival is coming to Coconut Grove

Now that the Great Taste of the Grove is under our belts, we are lucky enough to have another food festival in the Grove on Saturday, May 7. It's the Coconut Grove Food, Wine and Music Festival, a new springtime food fest in the center of town.

The festival will be held on the grounds of St Stephen’s Episcopal Church from 4-9:30 pm and will showcase the delightful flavors of many international wines and spirits along with the samplings from Miami’s most talented chefs.
More than 25 Miami restaurants and catering professionals will serve up tapas-sized portions of regional specialties. Republic National Distributing Company is the official partner and will be providing a wide variety of wines and spirits featuring Palm Bay Imports, Mont Gras, Santa Rita, Portillo, Van Gogh Vodka and Brugal Rum.

Crown Spirits is the official retailer of the show, if there is something you want to bring home, visit their table.


A variety of local artists will be performing throughout, they include Ryan Stone, Miami Mix band and Campo Deluxe Band.
And you can learn from the masters of the festival, with an excellent schedule of seminars and cooking demonstrations, featuring Jonathan McCann, Executive Chef, Atrio Restaurant & Wine Room at the Conrad Hotel; Chef Richard Ingraham is the personal chef for Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade and his style directly reflects his upbringing in the culturally diverse setting of South Florida. Carmen Trigueros will also be joining us and brings her signature sophisticated aesthetic flair and culinary artistry from La Bottega in Coconut Grove. They offer a world of flavors that feed the soul.

The featured Artist is the world famous marine artist, Carey Chen. Carey will be on location signing official posters for the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet Carey in person. Gailen David, travel expert and CEO of Dearskysteward.com will be speaking during the festival to share some inside travel tip and advice.
The Kids Corner will feature Arts & Crafts, Balloon Art, Face painting and so much more.

The Coconut Grove Food, Wine and Music festival will by hosted by the Florida Marlins Community Foundation and will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation. The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF) was established in 1971 and is the principal agency for epilepsy programs and services sponsored by the State of Florida, servicing the estimated 360,000 Floridians who suffer from the condition.


The charity, casino night with a silent auction will be held at Grove Isle Hotel and Spa on May 6, from 8-11 pm.
Cost of the tickets are $60.00 each, which includes unlimited food and wine. For $125.00 you can get the VIP tickets which gets you access to the casino night event. There is a Grapevine discount, if you use the code "GV" when ordering, there is a $20.00 discount.
