The Sierra Club is holding it's monthly meeting at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club on Monday, April 11.
Join them for the monthly general meeting featuring guest speaker Kiki Mutis from Fairchild Tropical Garden, and learn about conservation efforts in South America to protect the Rain Forest. Kiki is an environmental expert who will share stories about her work with the Amazon Conservation Team; teaching indigenous communities to preserve traditional plant knowledge and empower them to protect their environment.
She will also talk about what Fairchild is doing to educate the community on tropical plants.
Light refreshments will be served. 7:30 is the social half hour and then at 8 pm, Kiki will start her talk.
