El Sitio threw a welcome party for some friends

dinner1
A few of us were summoned to the new El Sitio restaurant last night for cocktails and dinner. It was a way for the restaurant to introduce itself to the Grove. Milly Lopez, left, and Katy Jones-Steiger were guests at the party.

dinner3
El Sitio is located at 3480 Main Highway, next to Greenstreet. Their menu consists of mostly Colombian food -- grilled chicken, steak and fish. There is a full bar and a large wine list, too.

dinner4
Rafael Gutierrez, Heather Bettner, El Sitio Chef Omar Pascasio and Lili Dones.

dinner11
Cricket Solis, Cindy Bettner, Armando Paz.

dinner2
Giana Levya and Tom Falco.

dinner8
We started with different types of salsa and plantain chips.

dinner9
And the main dish was stuffed chicken and ham with mushroom cream sauce, mashed potatoes and sauted vegetables. Dessert was brownie a la mode.

dinner6
Lourdes Blanco, left, office manager at the Mayor's office and Ada Rojas, director of special events for the City, stood in for the mayor and gave a proclamation to Cesar Toro, one of El Sitio's owners.

dinner10
The other owner, Moris Rodriguez, is a well-known Colombian singer. He performed after dinner. It ended up being a nice, intimate dinner with a bunch of friends, it reminded me of Mad Men Monday (coming back soon).

dinner5
Norbey Garcia and Chelsea Wiltz are two of the new staff at El Sitio. The whole staff was right on top of things and very welcoming from the moment we approach the door and all through the evening. It was a very pleasant evening and a very pleasant place. Stop by soon, you'll enjoy, the food, atmosphere and live music.
