Sol Kitchen delivers gourmet food on game day

food2
One of our regular readers, Steve, who many may know as "Blind Mind" from his many comments in the past, has started a catering business called Sol Kitchen. They put together Sunday game day packages for NFL fans, called Sol Sundays. Each package feeds six and there seems to be plenty of leftovers on Monday. Cost is $150.

The food is delivered right to the customer's front door. Steve says he has an idea for a new gourmet food truck to be rolled out sometime this winter, too.

The response has been so good for the Sol Sundays catering, that now there is more interest during playoff season and Super Bowl orders are starting to come in. Steve's partners are chefs at the Trump Resort in Sunny Isles, so you can imagine the first class food that comes out of their kitchen.

How does New Orleans Muffaletta, the Philly Shortrib Cheesesteak and chicken meatbawls, Little Italy peppers and onions with garlic bread sound? The Sol Roll is a favorite, that's one being prepared in the photo above. Desserts include Kansas City Ozark puddin' with grilled apples and black walnuts or what about Bourbon brownies? Below you can see the Bloody "Hail Mary"Gell-o Shots.

Orders must be in Thursdays by 5 pm, for that following Sunday's game. For more info, please email
orders@solkitchenmiami.com or check out the menus on line at: www.solkitchenmiami.com.
