Lots of memories, including the store itself

That's Lenny, whose head is popping up behind the old radio at the Azul store at 3444 Main Highway. Azul closed this weekend, but the good news is that The Sale Rack is moving in. They are currently on Fuller Street, but in a week or so, after some renovations, they'll be at the Main Highway location.

Azul left some interesting things behind, which I'm sure they'll come and get. That's an old radio from the Fibber McGee and Molly days. It still works, all the original tubes are still working. How much? If you have to ask, well, you know . . .

(It's $5000, but you can get a radio from the same era at the Mayfair Antique Market for about $250).

The old telephone on the brick counter is at the store and the cool old cash register is there, too. Reminds me of Sam Drucker's store on Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.
