Too many wild drivers passing through the village

I saw something interesting the other day. One of our village police officers stopped a car and ticketed the driver because he did not let a pedestrian have the right of way when crossing the street, the driver actually beeped the pedestrian as she crossed in front of him.

I see this daily at three intersections. The worst is Virginia and Grand, drivers are quite rude and I have almost been hit there more than once while walking across the street. This is where the officer stopped the rude driver and ticketed him.

Another location is Mary and Grand and at Florida and Mary, cars never stop to allow people to cross from the bank parking lot. They race through this small street at high speeds. Also, we hear from others that around the Blanche Dog Park on Shipping and Virginia, it is also a problem, even with the traffic circle.

So it was nice to see that a police officer noticed the rude driver and actually stopped him to cite him for his rude and illegal driving behavior.
