There's a quiet guy you may have seen around town, he is usually at the crosswalk by CocoWalk. His name is Oliver. He hands out flyer cards.
I use him and others use him a lot, too. He mostly hands out cards for the shoe store across the street, but I think it would be a great idea to start using him for many of our Grove events.
It was brought up at a recent meeting, that it would have been a good idea to promote upcoming events at events we are doing at the moment, for instance, did anyone promote the Block Parties or the Mad Hatter or Halloween during the Great Grove Bed Race, when we had 10,000 people lining the streets?
Restaurants might consider handing out cards with future specials, you know, things to bring people back with even a coupon.
Oliver actually targets his audience. He doesn't give ladies shoe ads to men, he doesn't give children's clothing ads to college guys. It might be a good idea to try Oliver's services out for any type of business or event in the Grove.
You may reach Oliver here: 786-879-5922.
And by the way, most of the flyer cards come from Brian Bishop.
