Saving Brickell's historic tree canopy

The Brickell neighbors are still fighting to save their trees. It is with such disregard and a waste of money, what the city is doing to destroy the trees. People don't want them touched, why kill them and spend so much money if the city is so broke, even if the city was not broke, why destroy them?

When are neighbors; voters, going to be heard in this city? When are elected officials going to realize they work for the voters?

There is a petition, just started that asks the Mayor and others to hold a public hearing on the project.

Neighbors feel that Brickell is an historic street and the huge canopy of trees are part of that history. Replacing the trees only lines a few pockets, nothing more.

Neighbors only found out about the project after the massacre started, they were not informed beforehand.

To read and/or sign the petition, please go here.
