More toxins found; this time at du Pont mansion

The Miami New Times has an excellent story on more toxic finds in Coconut Grove, seems like no area is immune. This time at the old du Pont mansion. Apparently it was also used as an ash dump many years ago.

The article states, "At the road's end, beneath a mangrove-shaded guardrail, are coarse, glittering bits of melted glass, tiny clumps of metal, and other telltale toxic detritus of Miami's long-closed municipal incinerators."

The large property is to be a small development for about five homes, but now DERM requires the soil to be cleaned up before any of that can happen.

Here's the whole story.
