There's a new bar coming to Coconut Grove. It's called The Sweet Bar -- an old fashioned candy shop! This candy shop is the creation of Clarissa Bonilla. It's very reminiscent of Dylan's Candy Bar in New York, on a much smaller scale. This is the former cigar shop at 2911 Grand Avenue, in suite 400E, at the Mayfair Promenade, across from The Improv.
I love the fact that it's a one-of-a-kind place and hopefully will be a destination stop for tourists and locals. The candy all lines the walls on either side of the space and there is a soda fountain bar in the back. It's still being set up and may open next week, I'll let you know when the doors are ready to open exactly. I think this is exciting news for the Grove.
