Let's bring a chocolate show to Coconut Grove

I went to the Fine Chocolate and Food Show at Pinecrest Gardens this past weekend and noticed that it was quite small, nothing compared to the big event at Fairchild Tropical Gardens, which was a good thing in that this would be a perfect event for Coconut Grove.

Most of the vent was indoors, which would be perfect at any of the local hotels or even the Expo Center, it wasn't sprawled out all over the gardens, so it would work here, too.

Another thing I noticed was that there were plenty of restaurants set up selling their wares and getting names and emails on data bases through contests and such. I learned of a lot of places in Pinecrest and Coral Gables. I think this would have been a great place for some Grove restaurants to introduce themselves to our neighbors outside of 33133.

One funny thing was this. The Grapevine was one of the sponsors of the Chocolate show and I was given a goodie bag, literally -- it was full of chocolate and stuff. While the bag was full of big bars of chocolate, this little piece was in a clear baggie, I took it out and proceeded to bite into it, only to find out it's a refrigerator magnet!
