"iPhonography," "Still Fountain Series" on display

"iPhoneography: the New Photography," by Shirley Drevich and "Still Fountain Series," sculptural meditative works with some water features, by Richard Medlock, are on display this month at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery. Saturday night the work by the married couple, was premiered during the monthly Gallery Walk.

The works on display are small pieces compared to some of Richard's other works like his "Equestrian Oasis" and "Mind Garden," which are best suited for outdoor spaces. Richard has been producing large installations since the 1960s. His current work "attempts to articulate physical space, creating resonant fields through which shapes and human fields interact, resulting in social function, evolving into transactional, and ultimately transformational poetic experiences."

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery is located at the Mayfair Atrium, at 3390 Mary Street, suite 128. They're open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Phone: 305-447-0401.
