Coconut Grove Gallery Walk is tonight

The Coconut Grove Gallery Walk is tonight. From 7 to 10 pm, the galleries will be offering art, food and music. Come out and enjoy.

My friend Theresa Callouri has an exhibit at Dharma Studio, check it out. Her fruitscapes are quite well known around these parts (this is one of her pieces here, fruit at the 42 Street subway station). Dharma is at 3170 Commodore Plaza.

At Cristina Chacon Gallery, next door, it's the "One World Tomorrow" exhibit with works by Angelo Valenzuela from the Dominican Republic; Ruth Bloch from Israel; Rosario Heins from Colombia; Vince from Canada; Sangsik Hong from Korea and Hernando Alzate from Colombia.

GroveHouse Artists is featuring Don Calhoun as this month's featured artist and there is lots of members works. The GroveHouse is next to the Improv in the Mayfair Promenade.

Blue Moon Studio is featuring five artists in with a restrospective of new works. Sheri Friedman, Oswaldo Franco, Luis Berros, Judy Horowitz and Chris Riggs For Mayor are featured. It's at the top floor at Florentine Plaza, 3444 Main Highway.

Artway 66 at the Mayfair Promenad has it's "Fantastic Journey of Ecological Concern: Past, Present and Beyond" exhbit. There are also live performances including music and comedy. Captain Art will be there for the kiddies.

The Hunter Gallery at the Mayfair Atrium has new art featured and while at the Atrium, check out the large Carbonel sculpures before they are gone. It's quite an impressive display.

Frameworks (3196 Commodore Plaza) has made the corner of Commodore Plaza and Grand Avenue quite busy on Gallery Walk nights. Stop by to check out their new exhibit.

George Rodez Gallery is showing off George's own art, they are at the second floor at CocoWalk.
And in the center of town, the Max Gallery (2996 McFarlane Road) always has something special. Go in and check out their actualy Rembrandt on display! Yup, we have a Rembrandt in the Grove!

And you'll hear them as you come down the street -- the Coconut Grove Drum Circle will be drumming and dancing at the Mayfair Promenade, at the Florida Avenue side. Stop by, grab a drum or tamborine and join in. Grab a hoola hoop and dance!
