Maybe it's the Cucumber Punch

gifford
There is something magical about the Gifford Lane Art Stroll, it just ends up being a perfect day each year. All the Grove characters are there, if it was a reality show, it would be the scene where every cast member is present. If you haven't seen someone for a long time, you will see them there.

It's the place were friends meet friends and people make friends and people make up. I saw estranged families happily enjoying the art, I saw city employees who are usually at odds, sharing a drink and we even ended up being buddies again with our District Commissioner. It's gotta be Dave's cool green Cucumber Punch or perhaps Atena's Sour Apple Martinis, or maybe it's just friends being friends on one of the best events of the year.

The weather was perfect, the art was great and produced locally, the food was delicious and the people were all great. There seemed to almost be more dogs than people this year, but every dog was very well behaved. More than one person told us it's the good vibe of the whole thing. It's non-threatening for pets -- and people.
