The Great Grove Bed Race committee had their first meeting yesterday, for the second annual event, which will be on September 5, during Labor Day weekend.It should be bigger and better than last year, over 25,000 people are expected. There will be some changes, like divisions for men and women and a co-ed division.
The races will be limted to 50 beds, due to time contraints. All beds that raced last year will have first priority, but only during the early registration period, which starts Thursday, April 1, 2010.
We will post a link to the sign up sheet when that is ready.
A corporate division is being considered for companies who will compete against each other. The age limit for this may be 30 years old and up.
