"Love is Action" AM JAM for Haitian relief

The Academy of Arts & Minds (3138 Commodore Plaza) is showcasing the talent of more than 100 A&M students in a Haitian relief AM JAM called "Love is Action," tomorrow, February 13 from 6 to 9 pm.

All disciplines will be represented with performances throughout the school in the outdoor second level plaza, theater, dance studio, music room and creative writing lounge. Mr. Octavio Campos, Visual and Performing Arts Director describes it as a "mini festival of love."

The final performance of the current student theater production, "Red Handed" will be in the Abanico Theater at 8:30 pm. "Red Handed," is written and performed by two theater students, and is appropriate for all ages. To preview this production, a YouTube video is

Tickets are $10 and free for A&M students.

Chez Creole, a North Miami Restaurant, is sponsoring the AM JAM, donating Haitian delicacies that will be sold that evening. Proceeds will be donated to help Haiti through the American Red Cross.
