Chamber holding luncheon and seminar

The Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce is having a luncheon and seminar on Friday, February 19 at The Ivy (3159 Commodore Plaza).

The seminar is on "Branding Your Business," given by Ron Jakubisin (left). Ron is the owner of Ronald Jakubisin & Associates, a full-service marketing and advertising agency in Hollywood, Florida.

His branding expertise includes assignments for a diverse spectrum of large and small companies including work at AC Nielsen (Trade Publishing), Hertz, Offerdahls, Southern Audio Visual, CBRE (Mayfair), Dimensions International (Construction Products), Betty Boop, Cole & Mason, J&M Foods, Zyliss, and The Restaurant People (Tarpon Bend, Yolo, River House) and other local retail and restaurant businesses. Prior to a career in advertising Ron was one of the founders of Club Nautico, a franchised boat rental company with 74 locations nationwide. He holds degrees in Engineering and Finance.

Ron will explain Branding and why it is important in today's marketplace. The goal is to make Branding relevant for businesses and professionals regardless of the size of their operations. He'll provide some self-help tools that can be implemented readily and at reasonable cost. Ron will show inspirational examples of how small and large businesses have used Branding to increase profits, create a buzz, and improve morale.

Check in is at 10 am, networking is at 10:30 am and luncheon is at noon.
