Sunday is Earth Day at The Barnacle

The Barnacle (3485 Main Highway) is celebrating Earth Day on Sunday, April 18 from 11 am to 4 pm.

The celebration is free with regular park admission of $2; children under 6 are free.

Join the Barnacle Society in a celebration of all things Green. This event will feature the music of Grant Livingston, a renowned local songwriter who sings stories of Florida. There will be environmental displays by local non-profits, government environmental groups, and green businesses. Bring your own picnic or buy lunch from The Barnacle Society. There will be face painting and environmental activities for the kids, and games for the entire family.

Blankets or lawn chairs and picnics are welcome; sorry, no alcohol is allowed. This event is sponsored by The Barnacle Society, Inc., which is a volunteer non-profit, citizen-supported organization created to generate public awareness, education, and financial support for the preservation and maintenance of this historic home.
