Lulu will complement Greenstreets Café

We took a little peek at the new Lulu on Main and Commodore Plaza. We like what we see.

The place looks amazing; very New York-y or European. The former Le P'tit Paris place at 3464 Main Highway, is being expanded up and back into the empty shop behind it on Commodore Plaza. This is enabling them to enlarge the kitchen and the bathrooms.

Sylvano Bignon, the man behind Lulu has big plans and you can see them as you tour the place. His partner is
Eric Boucher, who you know from Greenstreets, is very involved, too. Every day you can see them running back and froth between Greenstreet and Lulu.

The city's plans to widen the sidewalks in that area (into about four parking spots on the corner) will really make it a beautiful plaza area, almost the next best thing to shutting down Commodore Plaza completely.

They are shooting for a July opening for Lulu, but it's more important at this point to get it right, rather than get it done fast.
