A bit of mockery and lots of chutzpah

St. Stephens is promoting a new book called "The Heart of the Grove, the First 100 Years of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church."

The 260 page book will be unveiled at The Bookstore (3399 Virginia Street) on Monday, April 26 at 7:00 pm.

St. Stephen's will be launching it's Centennial Celebration this year, it's ironic that they
knocked down the actual 1912 church almost a year ago.

“St. Stephen’s enjoys a colorful history that is entwined with the colorful history of Coconut Grove,” said Reverend Willie Allen-Faiella, rector of St. Stephen’s. “This is a history that deserves to be told and we are delighted that it is now captured for all to enjoy.”

Author Rob Doughty and Archivist Loretta Beynon will be available during the unveiling to autograph books, present a brief of their work and answer questions, of which we are sure there will be many, but not about the book.
