The Village Council met last night at Ransom Everglades Middle School. The new Council was sworn in by outgoing chair, Martin Zilber and the outgoing council accepted plaques and certificates for their dedicated service.

New Police Commander Jorge Colina, was introduced by outgoing Commander, Major Jorge Martin. Commander Colina is a very nice and open guy, he wants to hear from people. If something bothers you about the Village, let him know.
The Playhouse was discussed, but basically it was just outgoing council member, Martin Zilber, who is on the playhouse board, who reported. The other people who were to attend the meeting were not in attendance and they will give an update at the next meeting.
Sue McConnell reported that more money may be coming in from County Commissioner Carlos Gimenez's office which will be added to the reward money being offered for the capture of the rapist(s).
