Village Council begrudgingly gives donation for 4th of July

Village Council member Liliana Dones asked the Village Council for $500.00 at the last meeting, for the 4th of July. As usual, the Council had to make a big deal over this, as if she asked for $1 million dollars.

Felice Dubin, who is the treasurer of the Village Council and also on the 4th of July Committee along with Liliana, offered only $250.00, the same amount that was given last year.

Dave Collins, Village Council member and also on the 4th of July committee (lots of overlapping here folks), offered the whole $500.00. Then the discussion started on why the money was needed.
Dave said the money is needed because the 4th of July event is in the red. He said the money could go to port-o-potties. In the end, the $500.00 was given for port-o-potties, taken from some other defunct committee in the Village West, which has never used their share of the money given out by the Village Council which gives up $500.00 to various sub-committees.
