Heart for Humanity party; art, peace and harmony

Zen Village and Life is Art are co-hosting a premiere party for Heart for Humanity at Zen Village (3570 Main Highway).

On Friday, June 19 from 6 to 11 pm, the evening will consist of entertainment, art, peace and harmony. Here II Here will be performing music from their self-titled debut album, a collaboration between Grammy winning engineer Doc Wiley and producer Joel Sommeillan.

Digital Media Artist, Laurence Gartel, will be presenting his art inspired by a recent trip to India. "What I discovered throughout the country was truly life altering. India is a country so rich in spirituality, but confronting poverty and survival on a daily basis. It is my hopes and goals to enlighten the plight of these people," said Gartel.

Life Is Art, a local organization, is hosting local artists including Kacey Westall Keogh, Sabrina Joy Winogrond, Floyd the Rock Artist, Alissa Christine and R.E. Sanchez. Alissa created the wildly popular "I Love Miami 365" series.

Floyd the Rock Artist will be creating art live during the musical perforamance. All art on display wil be for sale and a portion of the proceeds go towards the fundraising efforts.
