Lots of music and art filled the air

music
All the excitement last Saturday night was not enough for the Windisch-Hunt Summer Salon group. They rocked on Thursday night again, as the Leonard King opening happened next door. Folks went back and forth between the two.

Between these two galleries and the Art Stroll party that happens at the Mayfair Promenade every first Saturday night, looks like art is alive and well in Coconut Grove. And with Jerry Wade, Grove beatnik poet at large (far right), things are looking up for the art scene. Dare I say there is a 1960s revival feel in the air? A smoke-filled coffee house next?

Dorian Avila strummed guitar and Marco Haber on percussion played at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (above) and at the King Kinteic Gallery next door, Rob Freedman played guitar.
