The Coconut Grove Block Party took a break for Halloween night and now it's back this Saturday.
Headlining the entertainment on the main stage, located near Cita’s Italian Chophouse, will be Afrobeta. The Miami underground favorite was recently named the 2009 Miami New Times Battle of the Bands winner.
Referred to locally as a “match made in disco-house heaven,” this bilingual-duo brings its electro-funk and pop rhythms to Coconut Grove’s music scene.
Free to the public, the Block Party will continue every Saturday through March.
The streets of Commodore Plaza will be closed from 6:30 pm through 2 am. Party-goers will enjoy food and drink specials as restaurants will set-up additional tables on the street so diners can enjoy the music. Local artists will also be showcasing their works.
