Rumors of Vizcaya's past

Just because Vizcaya is almost 100 years old doesn't mean we know all there is to know about it. We're always discovering new things about the estate and its creators.

To that end, "Rumors of the Past: A Chat with Vizcaya's Archivist" is being held  Wednesday, May 8, at
7:00 pm, in the courtyard.

Paul Chalfin, Vizcaya's visionary, the man who, some say, stole credit for the creation of Vizcaya, remains shrouded in mystery. What exactly was Chalfin's contribution to Vizcaya? Why did he vanish after building his only masterpiece?

Join Vizcaya's Archivist, Alexander PriveƩ, as he discusses the rise and fall of Paul Chalfin and see some of Chalfin's original artwork on display for the first time.

Tickets $5; free for Members, Seniors and Students with ID.

Vizcaya is located at 3251 South Miami Avenue. For more information, go to www.vizcaya.org or call 305-250-9133.
