Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is now open at 3433 Main Highway. What's nice about Menchie's is that it's the type of yogurt place where you can do it yourself. You serve the yogurt and then you choose your own toppings from what seems like evertyhing from fruit and sprinkles to hot fudge and more. You pay by the weight, not by the topping quantity, so you can try a little of each and mix and match to your heart's delight. Above, employees Phillip and Jessica flank Stefano, one of the owners.
There are lots of flavors from plain chocolate to blueberry tart, green apple tart, heath bar, irish mint, coconut and it goes on and on. Menchie's has low carb yogurt and yogurt with no sugar added, they even offer dairy free yogurt. Each day, up to 10 flavors are offered, they change them out often. They're all Menchielicious!Menchie's in the Grove is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 am to 11 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to midnight. I like the fact that they have benches out front and as you pass by on a weekend night, it's so Grove-y to see people hanging out front, enjoying the yogurt and visiting with neighbors.
Menchie's is having a grand opening party all weekend. On Saturday, April 14, they'll be handing out free t-shirts at 11 am and from 11 am to 1 pm, enjoy free frozen yogurt! There will be a balloon artist present, too.
On Sunday, April 15, get a free magnetic photo fram at 11 am, raffles will be held from 11 am to 6 pm, free color-in t-shirts will be given out at noon and there will be a free face painter present from 1 pm to 3 pm!
