He's making Barracuda "the great dive bar"

Barracuda Raw Bar & Grill was up for sale and long-time realtor, Lee Kessler, decided to bite. He bought it! The deal closed the middle of March and Lee and his staff have been working non-stop to clean the old Cuda up and bring it to where it once was. And have no fear, while there are many great changes taking place, the pink, barracuda teeth awnings are staying!

One plan is to bring back a brand new lunch and dinner menu, which will probably happen in about 30 days. In the meantime, you can still stop by for the usual fare. Lee says he wants to be part of all things Coconut Grove including this Saturday's Gallery Walk. While strolling the Grove, stop in for a drink, he's returned Sake, wine and Champagne to the offerings.

"I love what John [El Masry] had when he was running the place," said Lee. His goal is to go back to that -- standing room only for the lunch crowd and a packed bar nights and weekends.

Lee has kept the same crew and wants the Barracuda to be "the great dive bar" that it always has been. The Gutsy Drinker's Pub Crawl will be passing through this weekend, hopefully you'll stop by, too.
