Relay For Life takes place this weekend

Relay for Life, an event to celebrate cancer survivors and remember those who lost their battle with cancer, is taking place at LaSalle High School (3601 S. Miami Avenue) this Saturday, April 2, starting at 6pm and it offers everyone in our community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.

It will be a fun-filled night with music, comedians and food that everyone in the family can enjoy. Starting at 10.30 pm, comedians John Wynn, Jessica Gross and Dominic Perenzin are featured, as well as a DJ to add to the celebration. This is an all night celebration where team members take turns walking around a track non-stop, they'll camp out on the school grounds all night.

A Survivors Lap takes place first, where cancer survivors gather and walk around the track together to celebrate their victory. After nightfall, there is a candlelight ceremony

For additional information, you can visit their web page here, or contact Amy at hudwalker@gmail.com. Come out to support those who have cancer and help create a world with more birthdays and less cancer!
