The Sierra Club Miami Group is hosting Miami historian Arva-Moore Parks on Monday, March 14 at their monthly meeting at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club (2990 S. Bayshore Drive).
Arva was recently named acting director and chief curator of the new Coral Gables Museum and she'll share insights and stories about some of Miami's favorite landmarks, including many in the Grove.
Arva will speak at 8 pm. The event is free and open to the public. As you may remember, Arva's latest book is on the history of Coconut Grove, she filled the house at The Bookstore in the Grove last fall at her book singing. The book is loaded with great photos from days gone by. She'll be signing that book and "Miami, The Magic City."
