The Barnacle is celebrating Earth Day on April 17 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Lenny Batista is performing acoustic rock music, there will be activities for kids, environmental groups will be on hands and green business picnics are welcome. Come by for hot dogs and veggie dogs.
New this year is the Miss Earth Miami pageant. Miss Earth is a major international beauty pageant featuring beautiful contestants who also show intelligence, strong leadership skills and are the perfect model of the modern woman: independent, hard-working, career-oriented; a strong role model and proud of her femininity. Miss Earth titleholders act as beautiful ambassadors, traveling the world educating others and supporting many environmental and humanitarian efforts.
