The Kampong is having "An Excellent Opera Adventure" on Saturday, April 9.
It's Opera for the whole family put on by the Manny Perez Vocal Studio, as part of The Kampong Kids Music Series. The light hearted program of opera's most special moments have been created especially for children and will be presented in the beautiful setting of The Kampong performing pavilion. International and emerging singers will be accompanied by Maestro Daniel Daroca.
This is a daytime event from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Gates open at 12:45 pm. Designed for children in preschool and elementary schoool, the program includes selections from The Little Mermaid and Phantom of the Opera. Tickets are $25 for adults and children are $15 for over 3 years old. Price includes snack after concert and fun art project for the kids. Proceeds from the concert support The Kampong's living collections and educational programs.
