Yesterday was Park(ing) day. We missed out. Maybe next year.
It's a movement where parking spots on the street are taken over and used for various things -- like mini parks.
People set up the parks, outdoor living rooms, tents, etc. It's a way to show how we can get along without cars.
The meters are still paid, so the Parking Authority would still get money, but it's an interesting concept to just take over the spots for the day and hang out.
