Grove Isle debuts Gibraltar restaurant

gibraltar
Gibraltar, opened in December, is the new restaurant at the Grove Isle Hotel and Spa. It's in the location of the former Baleens, with the same incredible water views, but after more than $1 million was spent on renovations, you will want to check out Gibraltar and their seafood oriented menu created by rising star chef Jeff O'Neill, shown here.

Jeff comes from Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, where he was Donald Trump's family chef.

Gibraltar's menu features contemporary American cuisine. The menu begins with appetizers in the $8 to $22 range, including salads, soups, small plates and many seafood items like oysters, mussels and lobster. Main dishes, including yellow tail snapper, Florida rock lobster and striped bass go from $23 to $39, there is also chicken and meat dishes. Sides go from $6 to $8, and desserts from $8 to $9, and include key lime pie, warm chocolate fudge brownies and home style apple streusel just to name a few.

Shown above is Yellowtail with rock lobster and mustard cabbage.

The sparkling glass-enclosed dining room features eco-friendly decor like natural cork ceilings and warm dark woods and gray leather seating. An elegant private room with room for 60, features a movable wall that allows views of the bay. The monkeys are gone.
