Hands on Miami's next project is "V at Vizcaya," a messy clean-up day, on Saturday, November 7 from 8:15 am to 12"15 pm.
Mangrove swamp and estuary areas have suffered greatly from the ravages of hurricanes, fragmentation, and the invasion of exotic species. Volunteers will be restoring these areas back into its natural state.
Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. Bring sunscreen and gardening gloves.
The minimum age for this project is 15 years old with an adult.
The interests recommended for this project are: Environmental, Youth Volunteering, Landscaping and Family Volunteering.
