Local artist Uta, arranges one of the the showcases for the Convergence bead exhibit which is currently showing at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue). The International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB) are in town this week for a convention, which will culminate with about 500 of the group taking to the Grove on Friday, June 24 for a reception and a night out of dinner and shopping around the village.

Glass, metals, seed beads, semi-precious, fibers, and other materials have been used to create the incredible pieces of jewelry and art. Hours upon hours of detailed work were put into each piece. The exhibit and sale is at the gallery through July 25. So this is the week to see these fantastic works.
