"The Lost City of Z," by David Grann, is the book being discussed at the Book Club meeting on Tuesday, April 6 at 8 pm.Join the group for a discussion, have some coffee, wine and snacks.
The book is about a legendary British explorer named Percy Fawcett, who launched his final expedition into the depths of the Amazon in Brazil in April 1925. His destination was the lost city of El Dorado, the “City of Gold,” an ancient kingdom of great sophistication, architecture, and culture that, for some reason, had vanished.
The meeting is at The Bookstore in the Grove, 3399 Virginia Street.
