It's a nice day for a a bike ride
The town is shut down to car traffic and everyone is out on their bikes, rollerblades or just sneakers. The weather is perfect for today's Miami Bike Day in Coconut Grove.
Orange t-shirts are being given out to everyone in Peacock Park and there are raffles and lots of other giveaways. Musicians are all around the village playing live and all the restaurants are doing a great business with hungry and thirsty bikers.
And the free Heineken beer being given out by the Dutch Government on Main Highway (in front of Florentine Plaza) doesn't hurt a bit either. That explains the wobbly bikers you may see around the Grove today.
Maria Cabarcos, shown here with Netherlands Consul General Xavier C. Prens, won one of the grand prize raffle trips.
