One week traveling art auction

You may have seen this image on the back of the bed race bed this weekend by the Coconut Grove Gallery & Interiors. Well the "real" image is up for auction this week.

The Gallery had the Grove’s very own Jack Amoroso paint a funky Picassoesque Nude for their headboard, and for an extra twist they will be auctioning off the painting online to benefit the Alonzo Mourning Charities, who were also the beneficiaries of the Great Grove Bed Race.

The auction has started and it ends Monday, September 14 at 8 pm. For those art lovers out there this could be a great opportunity to get a great piece of art (valued at $6000) created by a true master from right here in Coconut Grove!

If you want to see the piece up close it will be traveling the circuit. Today, Tuesday, it is at the Bookstore (corner of Virginia and Grand), Wednesday and Thursday it will be at Jaguar (3067 Grand Avenue), and Friday through Sunday at Greenstreets (3468 Main Highway) and ending up at the Coconut Grove Gallery & Interiors (2884 Bird Avenue) on Monday.
