They took the AMC signs down yesterday and now the CocoWalk theater is under the control of Muvico, but for the time being, the theater is closed.
AMC's lease is up at the end of September, then Muvico can start moving their equipment in and start renovating. They plan on working on one end and show movies on the other. We'll keep you posted on that.
To compensate until they do start showing movies in the theater, CocoWalk is showing free movies in the courtyard Friday and Saturday nights. This week, at 8 pm they will be showing Coraline and at 10 pm they are showing X-Men Origins Wolverine. Seating is limited so feel free to bring a beach chair.
