District Commissioner pushes for repeal of sales tax

Our District County Commissioner, Carlos Gimenez, is pushing for a petition drive to get the repeal of the half-penny sales tax that was approved in 2002. The money that was to be used for mass transit services is being squandered away by the County and he feels it is fair to say enough already and end the sham. Story here.
