Today is another day of Mad Hatter

mad2
The Mad Hatter Arts Festival is on again today from 11 am to 6 pm. It was a lot of fun yesterday, we gave lots of Grove Bucks out randomly to people wearing wild, mad hats. We'll do that again today and also we passed out thousands of Tea Party Invitations, which were used to get special deals at bars and restaurants around the Grove. Those will be handed out again today.

The festival is near the Mayfair end of the Grove, but the rest of the Grove was busy, as well. The bars and restaurants did lots of business. Sandbar, Barracuda and Mr. Moe's were packed. Focaccia sold their special recipe hamburgers and had lines literally down the block. Greenstreet, Calamari, Georges and Le P'tit Paris and Cita's did quite well, too.

The new Switch restaurant had tables outside (shown above) and they did a great business with $5.00 beer pitchers and $8.00 Paella.

We had breakfast at Greenstreets with out wild mad hats and that drew a lot of smiles and attention for the festival.

It's a shame the festival ends at sunset, it's so nice seein some vendors lit up at night, one vendor at the promenade at Mayfair, took advantage of his location and he stayed open awhile longer after most closed up.

Hope to see you all out there again today enjoying the art, music, people and great weather.
