Meeting called to discuss Grove sexual assaults

Miami Commission Chairman Marc Sarnoff, Police Chief Miguel Exposito, Commander Jorge Martin, and other members of the Miami Police Department will hold an open community meeting tomorrow, November 24, at 7 pm inside the cafeteria of Coconut Grove Elementary at 3351 Matilda Street.

In less than a month, two women have been robbed and sexually assaulted by a masked gunman in the Center Grove residential area. This is the police composite of the suspect.

“There is no higher priority than the safety and security of our citizens. The person or people responsible for these heinous crimes will be brought to justice,” says Commissioner Sarnoff.

The purpose of the meeting is to address questions and concerns regarding the two incidents and raise community awareness. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Similar meetings are planned in other District-2 communities to address crime related issues.
