Massacred trees are sprouting

Looks like the tree trunk with the crying eyes (vigil story here), wants to live. That's the tree trunk in the photo below.



It's sprouting.



Now if the county will only leave it alone and allow it to grow. Hopefully the can put the pipes for the storm drains

(story here) around this area and not through it.



I'm told that if they tree is allowed to grow, it will be a pretty decent size in a few years.
