Calming ambiance at Beaded Deep Ocean show
Atena Komar showed her bead artwork last Saturday at the Blu Moon Studio. The exhibit called "Beaded Deep Ocean" consisted of beaded sponge corals, sea urchins and Swarovski crystal fish. Illuminated jelly fish and color shifting squid hung from the ceiling.
The night had a special feel -- spiritual yet, artsy and homey.
Atena stands next to one of her pieces.
It's very blue at Blu Moon, we don't mean the mood, we mean the color -- very blue and soothing. You can see beautiful photos of the pieces on Facebook here.
Guests were treated to a belly dance performance by Harley and Raqs Dance Company. There were lots of refreshments, too.
A live mermaid completed the blue evening. Here she is flanked by Sheri Friedman and Atena Komar. Atena gives beading lessons and Sheri is gearing up for the season with lots of different type art classes. For more info, please call 305-297-5516.
