The Coconut Grove Peacock tour is coming this Spring and things are heating up. This is one of the fiberglass peacocks, in it's infancy of creation.
Many have signed up to sponsor the birds and more are needed. They are looking for companies, organizations, non-profits and individuals to come forward and adopt the beautiful birds.
Each sponsor receives –
- A large fiberglass peacock and their choice of artist to paint and decorate it.
- Peacock on display in Coconut Grove for six months
- Plaque on Peacock base displaying sponsor and artist.
- Name and information in the NBC6, Comcast and Miami Herald advertising campaign.
- Name and information in the official tour maps distributed throughout South Florida.
Over 800,000 visitors over a 6 month period are estimated to be coming to the Grove to view this wonderful Public Art Event which will promote Coconut Grove, our artists and sponsors.
In the end there will be an auction of the Peacock for those who would like to endow a charity of their choice. Charities and non-profits who would like sponsors to consider them are Shake-A-Leg, Casa Valentina, Everybody Wins as well as Camillus House.
