Exploring Miami's threatened urban wilderness

Urban Paradise Guild and Miami Science Museum are teaming up for the Museum's Summer Camp for week one. From July 1 to July 9, experience an Environmental Explorers Experience.

From their flyer: "Explore and protect Miami’s threatened urban wilderness with Urban Paradise Guild (UPG). Get 'off the beaten path' to know these areas as you kayak, snorkel and hike. Make a positive impact as you do Organic Stewardship, gather seeds and start a nursery. Do eco-Art for the Hanging Gardens Project (UPG’s Partnership with Xavier Cortada)."

Prerequisites:: Good swimming skills and ability to tread water with clothes on. Campers must bring their own mask, snorkel and fins. Life jackets will be provided.

Registration, costs and info about all summer programs are here.
