Art, yoga and lots of fun at the Dharma Studio

dharma1
Every time I go to the Dharma Studio, I think of the tv show Lost (because of the Dharma Initiative). The Dharma Studio is interesting in that it was once an art gallery, then turned into a yoga studio and on Gallery Walk nights, it become an art gallery again. Above are three of the featured artists this past Saturday, from left: Ingrid Eliasson, Marcia Ramos-Perello and Birgitta Hansson.

Yoga sometimes breaks out in the middle of the art premiers. Above, Dharma owners Natalie Morales and Loree Shrager pose for photographer Trini. At one point, I even ended up in the photos between Natalie and Loree, those photos are with Trini somewhere.

Gallery Walk nights are a lot of fun. There are lots of laughs along with the art at all the galleries around Coconut Grove, there is food, drinks and music, too. The Gallery Walk is the first Saturday of every month from about 7 pm to 10 pm or later.

Stop by next month, you may even end up being a subject of Trini's camera, but be careful, look down, don't step on or trip over her.

These hearts and birds are work done by Birgitta Hansson, on display through the rest of the month. Stop in the Dharma Studio to see the art, or for yoga classes. They are at 3170 Commodore Plaza. For info on the yoga schedule, please call 305-724-9646.
