Lots of Playhouse history saved

According to Florida Theater On Stage, lots of collectibles, props, costumes and such have been rescued from the decrepit Coconut Grove Playhouse. As the exterior deteriorates, so does the inside. Luckily, so much history inside was able to be saved and removed.

About a year ago, a bunch of kids got inside and it looked as if they had destroyed everything in site, luckily the hidden gems, so much history, was not touched.

According to Bill Hirschman's blog post, "Enough photographs, scripts, videotapes, scrapbooks, posters, headshots, marketing materials and business correspondence [was saved] to fill 800 boxes."

The whole story is here.
